It's not that the kid couldn't ha...I agree. It's not that the kid couldn't handle it, but I think us reading it together would be better than her diving in on her own. I haven't read any of her other books yet, but I will now! The kid read <i>Because of Winn Dixie</i> at school last year and loved it.
