murphy's law of the three-day weekend

Why does it always seem that when I finally get three days that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn, the universe also sends me a sore throat/cold?

It's as if my body is saying, "No, you're not just gong to kick back this weekend, you need to get horizontal!"

Seriously, I think the last long weekend I had a tummy bug.

Oh well, getting some extra, extra nap time isn't all that bad I guess, and I do have a bunch of books I need to read ... if I can stay awake.
