i miss babar

I love being able to talk and share more and more with the kid every day as she grows. But I didn't realize how much things had changed until the other day when I noticed how cartoons had been replaced in her TV time with Disney kid comedies. Old favorites like Babar and Curious George are no more. I can't believe it, but I even miss Caillou. Instead, there are wizards who hang out at a Waverly Place nothing like the one I remember, as well as many other shows featuring assorted tweens full of wisecracks and on the loose. Sigh. Oh well, everything changes. But I can't help but miss some of the gentler shows she used to watch.
