Favorite movies that have had an impact on me - #65 - The Innocents (1961) - Such a gorgeous, haunting, ultimately disturbing film. I have written it about it twice, once as an analysis (a second look at ... the innocents) and once as a review of the Criterion Blu-ray release (the innocents). Deborah Kerr gives an amazing performance as governess Miss Giddens. If you've never seen it, now is the time.
