Michael Palin is funny, intelligent and curious.He will always have Monty Python's Flying Circus as a shining star on his resume, but he has also done brilliant work in A Fish called Wanda and has put together some fun and interesting travel/history shows for British TV.
He's no lightweight.
But shouldn't we have high expectations of our comedians, television hosts and authors?
